When it comes to the threat landscape, it’s important to take a look in the rearview mirror once in a while.
As with driving, not only do you get a good look at what’s behind you, but you can often spot what’s coming up quick, set to overtake you.
That’s the spirit of this threat report. We’ve picked out five key stories from the last year or so, not just because they were big events, but because we think these threats, or similar ones, could very well appear in the near future. Take modular threats like Emotet and VPNFilter, for example.
These are threats that can deliver an on-demand menu of attacks and threats, depending on which device is infected or the intended goal of the attacker. We saw plenty of such modular threats in recent history, and wouldn’t be surprised if we see more in the future.
Email remains the darling delivery method of attackers, with threats from cryptomining to Emotet using it to spread. It’s also highly likely that other threats, such as unauthorized M

Did you know that organizations with advanced finance teams are more likely to have a compelling digital customer experience? The driver behind this trend? A digital, customer-first way of working with greater investment in talent, innovation, and advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
While finance has long taken advantage of technology to help drive productivity and collaboration, the goalposts have recently moved. Today’s organizations must adopt an agile finance operating model— powered by emerging digital technologies and skillsets—to better support the demands of an economy driven by continuous innovation.
"Your workers demand an

Meaning it’s up to you to support a vast assortment of endpoints, including laptops and desktops (both PCs and Macs), tablets and hybrid devices, smartphones, and even the Internet of Things (IoT).
And not only do your users expect support for a wide variety of form factors, but they also require cross-platform support for all major platforms, including iOS and macOS, Android, and Windows.
To complicate the situation further, they run different versions of those platforms—for example, they may run Windows XP SP3, Windows 10, or anything in between.
Read onward and learn how the industry’s first cognitive UEM platform, MaaS360 with Watson, delivers a single, strategic management and security solution to drive your organization’s digital business transformation—no matter what endpoints your enterprise is putting to work."
Digital transformation is a business enabler, one that also translates to an increase in the demand for greater storage capacity and performance. This increasing demand requires IT organizations to re-examine their data storage strategy as the growth in capacity doesn’t align with a shrinking IT budget. To support the growth of the business and remain competitive in a global digital market, CIOs are asked more than ever to “do more with less,” while improving performance and availability at the same time.
Infinidat provides the difference you seek in a data storage solution for media and entertainment organizations. New demands have everyone in the industry feeling the impact of high latency storage and its impact on efficiently delivering speed to market on new and dense workload management. The Infinidat unified storage architecture enables the scale, performance and best overall TCO required to deliver an extreme competitive advantage to media and entertainment companies.
Virtualization is the standard in enterprise IT environments for consolidating servers, enhancing businstrators that reduces their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and helps speed the application development process. However, as improvements have been made with server technology, storage technoless continuity, and improving business agility. VMware provides an architecture for server adminiogy has become the bottleneck. Legacy storage solutions can’t keep pace with thousands of virtual machines demanding maximum IOPS along with high bandwidth at the lowest latency. Infinidat’s InfiniBox removes the storage bottleneck for VMware environments. The InfiniBox enterprise storage array delivers faster-than-all-flash performance, high availability, and capacity density at petabyte scale. This Infinidat white paper is written for VMware and storage administrators to introduce them to the integration capabilities of the InfiniBox for VMware.

Managing service delivery in todayís complex and dynamic business environments demands new and different approaches from IT. The explosive growth and the rate of change of information has brought particularly daunting challenges for IT that have contributed to incredibly complex underlying infrastructures. To get a true picture of all of the components necessary to support an IT or Business Service, you must access and bring together data that resides in disparate data silos throughout the enterprise.
Because business success is tightly fused with technology, IT costs are rising, and this trend is expected to continue. As a result, businesses are demanding that IT be more than a static resource. IT is expected to deliver business results with a measurable contribution to the organization's bottom line.
To meet the challenges of intense competition and increasing customer demands, companies must tightly align their IT service management with business issues and priorities. This paper outlines the maturity steps involved in the progression towards proactive Business Service Management (BSM) and explains how ASG's metaCMDB helps secure its seamless adoption.
Ypsomed is a leader in the development and manufacturing of injection and infusion systems. The company is keenly aware of the multi-billion dollar problem of poor medication adherence and the need to measure medicine intake and ensure doses are taken at the correct time.
Ypsomed sought to create a digital solution for medication adherence monitoring and smart device management for contract research organizations’ (CROs) use in clinical trials, including self-injection systems for trial participants to administer medications at home. Yet the company faced serious demands for remote device management, global scale, and privacy and security regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR.
To solve these challenges, Ypsomed adopted Philips’ HealthSuite digital platform (HSDP), a cloud platform built on Amazon Web Services (AWS). HSDP allows Ypsomed to connect devices to the cloud and remotely manage them; store data; and manage and scale services globally within healthcare regulatory, privacy, and s
